Our Services ...

North West Planning provides statutory town planning advice and assistance including:

  • provide general planning advice;
  • consultation with client, council and stakeholder;
  • preparation of a detailed Planning Report;
  • preparation, submission and management of a Planning Permit Application.


Questions often asked:

  • can I build a house in the Farming Zone?
  • can I build a house in the Bushfire or Flood overlay?
  • can I subdivide my land into 2 lots or 10 or change the alignment of boundaries? 
  • can I change the use of a building (ie; from retail to a 24/7 gymnasium);

When it comes to bushfire matters or native vegetation applications, North West Planning uses the expertise and assistance of accredited professionals to prepare relevant plans and reports where required.  Please contact our office for more information.


Our Fees ...

For an estimated quote or fee proposal for the services provided - please contact our office.


Other fees and charges to consider as part of the planning application process include:


  • Planning Permit Application fee - which depends on the type of proposal, and the estimated cost of works - and in accordance with the Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations 2016.


  • Current Title Search - all applications require a copy of a Search Statement and Title Plan. This must be at least 3 months old - and can be obtained from 'Landata' website.


  • Advertising/Public Notice fee - this fee varies depending on the Council - and if they consider it necessary to place a notice in the local paper, on the subject land, or to the adjoining or adjacent properties. 


  • Other Reports where required - such as Bushfire Management Statement or Report, Bushfire Management Plan, Native Vegetation Report, Cultural Heritage Management Plan, Land Capability Assessment, Traffic Engineer Report, Car Parking Assessment and Farm Management Plan.
